Hullooooo der!
Are any of you as tired as I am? Did anyone else drive for over 12 hours straight today? Probably not, and, therefore, I am jealous of you.
The trip was an adventure today THAT IS FO SHO. There were a ton of pics taken, about a billion songs sung, and approximately 39 state license plates witnessed (we are playing the license plate game along the way and we are so close to getting em all!).
There was also some very interesting pit stops along the way, in which we got lost. I have never really had an eager desire to explore the backwoods of Iowa, but to my great joy, we got to experience the farm lands and dirt roads….not by choice I might add. Suzanne, our GPS (whom we have named the b*tch now because she got us lost) took us on a scenic route to a diner that we contemplated eating at, but had seconds thoughts upon watching a one-legged man on crutches walk in and we discovered the so-called diner was really a bowling alley. One-legged bowling? Now THAT is impressive. Needless to say, we ended up at a place EVEN more interesting that I will be happy to share the details about with you tomorrow.
I know, I know, you guys are just sitting on the edge of your seats waiting for this post (I can tell by the millions of comments I’ve gotten on the last ones…ahem, I hope you’re sensing the sarcasm). So, until tomorrow…stay safe kids. Check back later when I’ll be headed towards Niagra Falls! Yipeeeeeee
xoxo
